'My Bondage and My Freedom' by Frederick Douglass. 1855 is date on copyright page and title page. 7 3/4" high, 464 pages long plus advertising in back which advertises other books by publisher including anti slavery, 'American Agitators and Reformers', and other works. Illustrated with finely done engraving of author, and also 2 other engravings, all with original tissue protectors. Some wear to cover, including scuffing at top and bottom of spine, as you can see, but this is the ORIGINAL cover. A little dusty from storage, and some foxing to some pages, but not bad for being 166 years old. VERY rare book. If you would like photos of any particular feature, let me know.
