Uncle Tom's Cabin, is an anti-slavery novel by American author Harriet Beecher Stowe.Originally published in 1852, the novel had a profound effect on attitudes toward African Americans and slavery in the U.S. and is said to have "helped lay the groundwork for the Civil War". A true classic!

very good condition.... for its age:
boards -
very secure, back cover looks very good & clean!
textblock
- pages very secure, textblock cracked twice but everything is holding
outer joints
- no splitting
spine ends
- not too bad for age - but with some typical wear - the picture shown is the top - none of the top spine end is missing, just curled under in places and with several splits
tips
- bit worn - bottom front the worse
inner hinges
-  very good

- generally very clean!!,  just a few small spots,
dime size hole to one of the 3 ffep
writing
- none
rips /folds
- apx 10 rips - most of these 1.5" or less- some repaired with doc tape
/ 6 folds
other- a good, solid, and clean 123 year old classic!!

and remember
-this book is very old and may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke] - I have found that dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference! some of my books get sold right away so please consider using this trick before deciding to return it!  As far as I can tell -this book has no bad smell.
